Biography 略歴	【野際蔡真/蔡眞(1819～1871)】 名は真/眞、字は仙、石居または石湖と号し、白山人とも号していた。 松山家に生まれ白雪の次女と結婚し、野際家を継ぐ。 白雪の後を受けて紀州藩の絵師となり、十人扶持を給わる。 その作品は白雪と異なり、南宗よりも北宗に近いものが多い。 明治四年53歳で亡くなる。和歌山市西大工町西光寺に永眠す。 His given name was Shin, his courtesy name was Sen, and he went by the pseudonyms Ishii or Seko; he was also known as Hakusan-jin. Born into the Matsuyama family, he married Hakuyuki’s second daughter and succeeded the Noguchi family. Following in Hakuyuki’s footsteps, he became a court painter for the Kish? Domain and received a stipend of ten people’s rations. Unlike Hakuyuki’s work, much of his art was closer to the Northern School than the Southern School. He passed away in Meiji 4 at the age of 53. He is laid to rest at Saik?-ji Temple in Nishi-Daiku-ch?, Wakayama City.
